How To Crack Passwords| Revealed

Password cracking-

Password cracking is usually done by either repeatedly guessing the password,its done using computer algorithm in which computer tries numerous combinations until the password is successfully discovered.

Password cracker use two primary methods to identify correct passwords:

1)Brute force

2)Dictionary searches

In this tutorials we going to use brute force method to crack password.

Brute force: When password cracker uses a brute force tool, tests all possible combination of characters of predetermined length until its finds the right combination accepted by the computer system.

Brute force is generally trial and error method used by application programs to decode encrypted data.

Brute force is considered to be an infallible but time consuming approach.

In this tutorial we gonna use Mozilla Firefox addons- Fireforce.

If you don't have Mozilla Firefox version 20.0 installed the version am using and also required addons please see my previous post 

Hacking tutorial initial setup.

I hope you have installed addons and the version of Mozilla Firefox am  using.

For this method you must know the username to successfully cracking the password.

Lets start------

STEP 1) Goto Mozilla Firefox-->open any login page 

STEP 2)Enter "admin" as username and try to login with random password after which it will display failure message. Make a note of this message.

STEP 3)Right click on the password field. Select "Fireforce"-->"Generate password" and then select -->"a-zA-Z0-9" option.

       

STEP 4)This will asks for the minimum and maximum number of characters that the password requires, and also the message required to detect the failure or success.

 In this case, our failure text is "Login Failed!". 

Now, click save and wait for a while it cracks the passwords. 

Note that password cracking may take a very very long time as the number of passwords to be tested is very large.

STEP 5)Once the password is found , FireForce will show you the password using which you may login.
