There's a good news for Arduino users!... Now you can link to Google Maps using an Arduino-based GPS/GLONASS module.
A GPS/GLONASS Arduino-based vehicle tracker is recently developed by Tigal that links to Google Maps. It is the advanced version of commercial grade vehicle tracking system that comes with free interface for tracking on Google Maps and OpenStreetMaps also.
It is designed to track single vehicle as well as larger fleet simultaneously. The system can track the speed, location, altitude, heading and the address of the vehicle. It also saves logs of location data for later use. With the use of additional sensors it is also possible to track other parameters like temperature, humidity, pressure etc.
The Arduino compatible module has an Atmel SAM3A8C ARM controller, a Quectel M95 GSM/GPRS modem and a Quectel L76 GPS/GLONASS module with Assisted GPS and CANbus.
And the best thing is, the OpenTracker v2 will be available as a complete package that will include the Board, an aluminium enclosure, Programming and power cables and GPS/GSM antenna.
